What a Kentucky expungement costs
Two kinds of cost: what the court charges, which is fixed by statute, and what we charge, which is a flat fee you know before you commit.
Court fees
| Expungement certification (one covers all your cases) | $40 |
| Misdemeanor petition, per case ($50 refunded if denied) | $100 |
| Felony application filing fee, per case (non-refundable) | $50 |
| Felony expungement fee, due when granted (installments allowed) | $250 |
| Dismissed, acquitted, or never-indicted charges | $0 |
If you qualify as indigent, the court can waive both the felony filing fee and the $250 expungement fee. Ask us.
Our fees
| Attorney record review and consult. We pull your court records, confirm exactly what is eligible and when, and walk you through it on a call. Credited toward the full fee. | $50 |
| Misdemeanor expungement, full service. | from $500 |
| Felony expungement, full service. | from $1,000 |
“From” means a single case in one county with no contested hearing. Several cases, several counties, or a prosecutor who objects cost more, and we quote the exact number after the record review. Payment plans are available. We work statewide; travel fees may apply where an in-person appearance is required outside Central Kentucky.
